Output/File Formats Output Software Formats Available Once the conversion process is complete, the files can be output to a software format and media of your choice. The industry standard Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) is a file format that was specifically developed for page-layout applications and is supported by all image-editing applications. Here is a list of software formats currently available from DataStor:
TIFF, JPEG, PDF, GIF, HTML, CAT, CAD AND CALS. These formats are constantly being updated; please let us know if you require a format not listed. DataStor supports output to CD-ROM, magneto optical disks, Jaz, Zip, FTP, Travan and DAT tapes. The CD Rom is cost efficient and most popular with our customers. Each disk contains viewer software making it possible to retrieve the information from a CD from any PC. Our standard service includes one master CD (to be kept offsite as a security copy) and one copy to be used as your working copy. This way you always have a backup of your data. Free LaserFiche Viewer Used by over 16,000 companies and government agencies around the world, LaserFiche is a preferred choice in document imaging and document management systems. The software is included on each CD-Rom, making document retrieval possible without the added cost of viewer software. File Transfer To A Server As an output option, consider File Transfer Protocol to transfer images directly to your server. This allows information to be immediately accessible by anyone with authorized access to your server. This is a smart option when the conversion is large and the number of CD's required to hold all your images would be cumbersome. |
