  Frequently Asked Questions

How would I need to prepare my paper documents for you to scan?

Bring your documents to us in standard archive boxes with handles. Once the archiving project is planned and designed with you, our staff will organize the rest.

How many copies of a CD do I need?

As a policy we provide our clients with two copies. We recommend one copy be kept off-site as a security copy and the other as the working copy. A duplicate can usually be produced from your security copy if the working copy becomes damaged.

How much time does it take to find a document on a CD?

The computer does the work of finding the document you want. It takes only seconds to retrieve the document and you won't have to look further than your computer screen. Now wouldn't that be an improvement over your current method?

Imaging vs Microfilm: Which is best?

Most cases...IMAGING.  Here's why:

  • There is no special reader required to read a CD. Most computers come standard with a CD-ROM.
  • Portability; It's more practical to carry CD's in your briefcase than carry around the equivalent on microfilm, plus the microfilm reader!
  • Clarity; you'll get a better picture when digitized at 200-300 dots per inch. Furthermore, your computer screen offers a better view of that image than a microfilm reader or magnifying glass.
  • There's no wear and tear to access your documents on a CD. If cared for properly, a CD will out-last paper.
